Hi Andrey ...I hope this is the email address that you wanted me toreply to, for sending some info about my submitting
artwork. Here are the details you wanted:
Title: Soul Cakes
Little biscuits have been used across time in numerous cultures, as offerings for the dead, and to benefit all souls, disembodied or not. In this piece, I make these soul cakes using a recipe handed down through generations. I insert a seed-grain (to symbolize regeneration) into a small ball of dough, and then impress my hand print around it to give it a unique shape, and to show how it was held and created. I shall send these over from my Northern Canadian home to ARTCONCEPT-2 Festival in St.Petersburg, Russia, where I ask that someone (or several people) distribute these in inconspicuous places around the event or neighbouring area, to remain until they are consumed by the elements, or any other intervention. Duration is variable. ================================= I shall be sending you soon these little biscuits, for distribution around or outside the festival site during
festival time, for people to discover or overlook, or to be slowly eaten by insects or animals, or generally
dissolved by the elements. You may assign the task of placing them around to anybody.
Attached is also a shortened one-page CV. Feel free to shorten things more if you require. Any other
questions or information, please email me.
Good luck with the Festival! I wish I could be there!
Regards,
Perry Rath
